Cool Cars For a 17-year Old?

I am 17 and looking for my first car. As an early graduation present, my grandparents are buying me the car…I would like to get a reasonable car, but I still want something “cool”

I am currently looking at a 2004 Mustang GT (I am not a fan of the later body styles) and a 2008 Mazda RX8, but I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on another car that may be good.

    Ninja has the best answer. I can’t understand why someone voted it down; it’s a brilliant suggestion. In addition to the Toyota reliability, there is the safety thing, which may not be a concern at 17, but why not if the car looks good? Check it out before you dismiss it.
